[Résolu]Plex autorise la création de bibliothèques uniquement sur le Volume 1 de mon NAS Synology

Hi Everyone,

It's been quite some time that I have the following issue:

When I try to add a library from my Plex, it only allows folders from my Volume 1 in my NAS. The other folders are grayed out: (All folders have been granted all access reading/writing in my NAS)

 

My setup is the following:

My Plex Media Server is installed on my Shield Pro Android Box.
My NAS which contain all my data is mount in my shield Pro.

I play my videos from my Shield Pro (and it works like a charm) so I don't intend to install the plex server on my NAS (tried before and I had a lot of performance issues)

Here is a quick view of my Volumes setup on my NAS for reference:

 

Does anyone has an idea on how to allow folders from Volume 2 to be reachable from my Plex Media Server?

Hello @Miskaam,

Could it be that you have shared folders named the same way in both volume 1 & 2 ?

Through terminal, you can give a check on the shared folders name and unicity :

cat /etc/samba/smb.share.conf

You will get a complete list of your shared folders and their parameters.

Double check that your "Video" share is pointing to /volume2/Video

When you are mounting files through Samba, only the share name matters.

The command I gave you in my previous post :

il y a 29 minutes, .Shad. a dit :

cat /etc/samba/smb.share.conf

Par contre je vois que dans de vieux messages tu parles français, pourquoi tu parles en anglais là ? 😄

Pour une raison inexpliqué je viens de réussir a créer un folder partagé sur le volume 2 de mon NAS, et il est bien reconnu par Plex, et la les vidéos tournent nickel.

J'ai tout redémarré au cas où, et tout fonctionne correctement....

Je ne vais pas chercher a comprendre plus loin (j'ai ce probleme depuis des années... xD)
