DSM 7.0 Preview is not available on the following models. But don't worry, these models will join the upcoming DSM 7.0 Beta or DSM 7.0 Official.

Important Upgrade Notes

Before Update

  1. DSM 7.0 can only be updated from DSM 6.2.
  2. Reserve extra time to complete DSM 7.0 update. The DSM update takes 10 to 20 minutes, while package update may take more than an hour. The actual time depends on the computing power of your model, the number of media indexing files, and the number of packages installed.

DSM

  1. USB devices (Wi-Fi dongle, Bluetooth dongle, 3G/4G dongle, USB DAC/speaker, and DTV dongle) are no longer supported. If your Synology NAS is currently connected via a wireless dongle, it will be disconnected after the update.
  2. Creating SSD caches on block-level LUNs is no longer supported. Existing SSD cache for block LUNs will function normally after the update.
  3. DDSM is incompatible with DSM 7.0. To continue using DDSM, you should retain the current DSM version. To update to DSM 7.0, please delete DDSM first.
  4. To provide comprehensive TLS support and ensure compatibility, the TLS/SSL profile level in Modern compatibility will automatically change to Intermediate Compatibility after the update.
  5. EZ-Internet is merged with Router Configuration in Control Panel. To set up port forwarding, go to Control Panel > External Access > Router Configuration.
  6. Python3 is merged into DSM as a built-in service. The original Python3 package will be unavailable in Package Center and you can remove it manually.
  7. The following DDNS providers are removed from the service provider list at Control Panel > External Access > DDNS:
    CloudNS, DNO-O-Matic, DNSEXIT, Dynamic DO!.jp, Joker.com, RU-CENTER, TwoDNS.de, Variomedia, Zoneedit.com

Packages

  1. Synology Moments and Photo Station will be upgraded to and merged as Synology Photos. If you would like to use Synology Photos on your mobile devices, please install the iOS/Android app. See this page for more details.
  2. Cloud Station Server and Cloud Station ShareSync will be upgraded to and merged with Synology Drive Server. If you are using any Cloud Station Suite applications (Cloud Station Server, Cloud Station Drive, Cloud Station Backup, Cloud Station ShareSync, or DS cloud), you must switch to their counterparts in the Synology Drive Suite to ensure compatibility. See this page for more details.
  3. Active Backup for Business is incompatible with DSM 7.0 Preview. To continue using Active Backup for Business, you should retain the current DSM version.
  4. Central Management System no longer supports managing Synology NAS with DSM version earlier than DSM 6.0. Managed servers that are unable to update to DSM 6.0 should be disjoined from Central Management System before the update.
  5. DiXiM Media Server and sMedio DTCP Move are incompatible with DSM 7.0. To continue using these packages, you should retain the current DSM version. To update to DSM 7.0, please uninstall them in Package Center first.
  6. MariaDB 5 is incompatible with DSM 7.0. To update to DSM 7.0, please install MariaDB 10, migrate the database, and uninstall MariaDB 5 in Package Center first.
  7. Packages published by third-party developers are currently not supported. You can update the packages in Package Center when compatible versions are released.
  8. The following packages are no longer supported:

Petites question tu les récupères comment les différents .pat? (car normalement lors de l'inscription on devait choisir certains modèles, mais il est possible de modifier l'url du téléchargement pour accéder aux autres modèles)

 

 

⚠️ Pour ceux et celles qui voudraient l'installer. Attention c'est une "preview" (Pour le moments les paquets tiers (Plex, ffmpeg...) ne sont pas compatibles par exemple).

Et il n'y a normalement pas de retour en arrière possible ⚠️

@maxou56 On peut aussi download pour tous les modèles, pas que ceux lier à son compte synology, j'ai tout récupérer un par un pour la communauté, c'était le plus lent à faire. l'envois sur uptobox lui va très vite quand on a 700mbits en upload x)

Je ne vois pas que des vdsm en téléchargement, donc je dirais oui sans hésitation 🙂

Update en cours pour ma part, après backup complet et quelques réglages pour ma part, afin d’avoir un update sans anicroche 🙂

L’installation à pris -1 minutes, c’est du rapide, trop rapide à mon goût 🤔

La le monstre reboot, on va voir s’il revient à la vie 🤣

Édit : moins de 10 minutes après, le nas à reboot, ne fermer pas le navigateur après avoir lancer l’update, la j’ai un encart de mise de la base de donnée, suivis de l’update des paquets qui est apparu après le compteur de reboot.

Pour la migration je ne pourrais pas t'aider, même si la je vais utilisé synology photo pour faire un partage sous peu de temps 🙂

je vais faire un retour dans le topic dédier, ici étant le téléchargement 🙂

Pour information les prochaines preview, les liens seront mis à disposition par message privé au cas par cas.

Non car quand je vois qu'on est la communauté la moins active sur dsm 7 après toute la réclame qu'il y aura eu, un nombre de téléchargement conséquent des pat, je ne demande pas de venir dire merci ici, mais faire des retours dans la section concernée c'est le minimum syndicale.

Après on demandera pourquoi les demandes de la communauté française ne sont plus prises en comptes... voici déjà un élément de réponse.

Pour ma part cela intéresserai  de participé mais je manque de temps et j'ai pas un nas de libre pour faire des tests.

Pas sur que cela focntionne en VM sur un vrai faux nas ( on c''est compris sur le mon de ce type de de nas 😉)

Un grand merci ; je suis en train de passer un 1513+ de prod qui sert aux sauvegardes, je donnerais les informations du résultat

Bonjour,

J'aimerai me lancer et passer mon DS214play en DSM7 mais comme c'est mon NAS de prod, j'aimerai valider 2/3 choses avant.

Déjà, est ce raisonnable de passer sur la preview sur un NAS principal ?

Ensuite j'ai quelques paquets tiers et je voudrais savoir s'ils tournent correctement sur DSM7:

  • Jacquet
  • Radarr
  • Sonarr
  • Rainloop (installé via SSH)

Enfin, je voudrais savoir si ce type d'installation aura un impact sur le paramétrage général du NAS notamment mon serveur mail (je veux pas tout me retaper juste parce que je suis pressé - Si il y a un risque j'attendrai la release officielle)

Bonjour,

Moi c'est mon nas principal est j'ai pas mal de chose dessus, mais aucun paquet tiers exotique, tout est dans des dockers (on ne subit pas les problèmes de maj)

Concernant le serveur mail, je ne vois pas spécialement de problème, le paquet étant de synology.
